Electrical Engineer
Location: LEGOLAND® Windsor Resort, Windsor, SL4 4AY
Hours: Shift patterns (Early Shift & Late Shift) will be discussed at interview
Pay: up to £43,000 + bonus, pension, life assurance, holiday and Merlin Magic Pass – 20 free tickets to our attractions rising to 40 after a year’s service

About the LEGOLAND® Windsor Resort
We are looking for an Electrical Engineer to join our AWESOME Rides Maintenance team at the UK’s favourite children’s theme park; the LEGOLAND® Windsor Resort. The LEGOLAND Windsor Resort is the ultimate destination for families with children age 2-12. The Resort is home to two awesome LEGO themed Hotels and a host of rides, shows and attractions built around the iconic LEGO® brick. This role is based at the Windsor theme park, located in 150 acres of beautiful parkland.
As an Electrical Engineer you will be responsible for completing a variety of planned (PPM’s) and reactive maintenance across our PLC controlled Rides & Attractions. A key element of this role is to ensure that our Rides & Attractions have a 99% technical ride availability.

About the role of Electrical Engineer:
To work as an operational engineer carrying out PPM, reactive maintenance and ride start up tasks

To respond to any breakdowns and ensure that work is completed safely, efficiently and in-line with department procedures.

To ensure a safe working environment/safe working practises are always adopted, and any potential health & safety hazards are reported to the department management team immediately for appropriate corrective action

To complete work related risk assessments

To ensure written documentation relating to pre-opening checks and maintenance works are accurate to reflect changes in procedure

To carry out fault finding and rectification on ride systems
- While out on the resort you will interact with our guests as an ambassador for our high standard of Guest Excellence
About you:
Qualified to a City & Guild or NVQ level 2 or equivalent within an Electrical Engineering / Technician discipline

Experience of fault finding and use of programmable logic controls (PLC’s) such as; Siemens, Omron, Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi
- Experience of working within a heavy industrial / automated environment such as; FMCG, Manufacturing,
- Logistics, Airport or Theme Park

Knowledge and practical experience of various motor controls including inverters

Able to read and understand electrical drawings
- Experience of PPM Systems of Work
