My client are the largest single disciplined building services engineering consultancy in the UK, they have a fantastic brand in the industry and work on some of the most prestigious projects globally. They are looking to add a Senior / Principal Electrical Design Engineer to their team in London due to a number of big project wins.

Responsibilities & Roles of the job include
- Calculating voltage drops, supply sizes, and protection systems, ensuring a solid understanding of electrical requirements for building and electrical systems. Additionally, you will have a good understanding of controls integration and collaborate with the controls team to develop control philosophy and descriptions of operation.
- In this position, you will lead the electrical designs within project budgets and ensure that all team members take financial responsibility in design.
- You will also assist in preparing bills of materials and ensure comprehensive design and specification packages are handed over to the Operations Team with detailed costs and budgets.
- A key aspect of your role is to support the team and promote a spirit of collaboration and teamwork. You will attend project meetings, both internally and with clients, as required, and assist in resolving any problems or issues that may arise on site.
- Conduct a post-project evaluation to identify key lessons learned and review your CPD needs with your line manager to stay up to date with technological advancements and developments in the electrical sector.
- Lastly, you will attend design meetings and provide project and enquiry updates as required, showcasing the support and team spirit of the company.
