Job Description:

As a Graduate / Electrical Design Engineer within this small team, you will be benefiting from working under an Electrical Director and a very well respected Senior Engineer gaining mentoring and on the job training each day.

Your role will be to produce design calculations for a range of technically interesting and challenging projects, assist with site surveys, producing reports and using their modelling software to develop your designs.

The schemes undertaken by this organisation include local authority works such as offices and schools, higher education buildings including teaching accommodation and laboratories as well as hotels and other high rise buildings.

Person Specification:

Presently working as an Electrical Design Engineer or having recently graduated with an appropriate degree, it is likely that you are still developing your skills and learning from others but feel that you have either hit a glass ceiling or reached a point of usefulness to your current employer that they are unwilling to help you develop and move on from.

You may well be working within a local authority, design consultancy or a contractors design department producing electrical building services designs to a specification and looking for a role where you will be supported in your professional and career development.

Qualified to a minimum of HNC level (or equivalent) you will need to demonstrate a sound knowledge of UK standards and design basics as well as a genuine interest in building services engineering.
