The Apprenticeship:
Want to gain qualifications whilst earning money by working in a successful electrical team? We’ve got the apprenticeship for you!
As our apprentice, you will support the team to carry out high quality repairs, servicing and electrical installation works. You will also help to diagnose and repair faults alongside performing final testing.
The apprenticeship, which includes a Level 3 electrotechnical qualification, will train you to use a range of electrical installation components. You will cover a range of topics, including environmental technologies, fault diagnosis and rectification, inspection, testing and commissioning and electrical system design.
You will attend college 1 day a week and the remaining 4 days will be working on site with one of our fully qualified electricians where you will be learning the day to day job from them.
At the end of your 4-year apprenticeship you will gain a Electrotechnical (Installation or Maintenance) Level 3 Diploma.

You will be able to communicate with a wide range of people and have genuine empathy towards our customers.
Eager to learn, you will be punctual and well driven.
Weston College needs you to have a minimum of GCSE (Grade A*-C or 4-9) Essential in English, Maths and Science, but support is offered to candidates who have do not have these.
You will need to work at any location from where we operate, this includes North Somerset, Bristol and Swindon. You do not need a driving licence as you will be working with a current colleague.
