We are looking to recruit a Regional EHS Manager who will ensure compliance to EHS legislation, define and maintain EHS policies and procedures, as well as accountability for administering the “EHS” system and taking responsibility as the key, competent person and point of contact on SHE issues.

Main responsibilities:
- Health and safety first and foremost, ensuring compliance with Bodycote health and safety procedures.
- Communicating clearly and professionally with all stakeholders.
- Oversee and apply the Bodycote Health and Safety Management system for UK ADE, ST and AGI, by using a Plan, Do, Check, Act philosophy.

- Set objectives and understand how to measure performance
- Identify legal requirements
- Provide monthly reports to key stakeholders

Do
- Identify the risks, who could be harmed and how; identifying what you need to do to manage it
- Organise your activities to deliver the plan
- Involve the workforce and management to create positive behaviours
- Provide resources to the sites to support, train and educate
- Communicate EHS alerts
- Identify opportunities for improvement
Check
- Assess how well the risks are being controlled
- Formal audits and inspections
- Investigate causes of accidents, near misses and incidents
- Check actions have been completed
- Review performance
Act
- Learn from accidents, incidents and near misses and disseminate lessons learned
- Review plans, policy documents, risk assessments etc. to ensure there up to date
- Support and mentor colleagues on the development of best practice and culture
Qualifications, experience and skills:
- Certified H&S training (NEBOSH trained) essential
- Certified ISO internal auditor essential
- Certified ISO Lead auditor desirable
- Knowledge of Engineering/Manufacturing environment
- Computer literate – Microsoft and email packages, along with database experience. Good interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated
