Job description
NHS Scotland is committed to encouraging equality and diversity among our workforce and eliminating unlawful discrimination. The aim is for our workforce to be truly representative and for each employee to feel respected and able to give their best. To this end, NHS Scotland welcomes applications from all sections of society.
Due to career progression within Adult Mental Health (AMH) inpatient services, we have several full time vacancies for enthusiastic individuals who have an interest in working within the Dunnottar Ward.
Candidates should be able to demonstrate the ability to work in a busy and challenging environment, developing effective therapeutic relationships with both patients and careers. Candidates should have good interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively and cooperatively as part of the ward nursing team and within the wider multi-disciplinary team.
AMH has three admission wards that cover Aberdeen City, Aberdeen Shire, Islands, CAMHS and MOD patients. Each ward has its own in-patient consultant as well as a vibrant medical team.
Ideally, candidates should have experience within the care sector, however this is not essential as all necessary training will be provided. You will be fully supported and you will be given plenty of opportunities for professional and personal development.
This role will require the successful candidate to be able to work 12 hour shifts as well as night duty rotations.
