Corporate Research Credit Analyst EEMEA
London

As a Barclays Research Corporate Credit Analyst EEMEA, you will be a part of Fundamental Credit Research EEMEA team, responsible for analysing the credit strength of investment grade and high yield corporate bond issuers in emerging markets. You will be responsible for making investment recommendations and producing thematic research that is distributed to external clients, as well as collaborating with internal business partners.

What will you be doing?
- Being responsible for providing impactful analysis and recommendations on corporate credit issuers in the EEMEA region, including in GCC, Turkey and other geographies, as appropriate
- Conducting balance sheet, earnings and cash flow analysis to assess fundamental trends in corporate issuers and their industries, including building and maintaining financial models
- You will be responsible for evaluating financial documentation including annual/quarterly reports, current events, and debt covenant packages
- Providing fundamentally sound recommendations on bonds of corporate issuers in the EEMEA region based on the analysis of the above documentation
- Being responsible for maintaining financial models, relative value spreadsheets and investor presentations
- You will be responsible for collecting and monitoring economic data of the overall industry, and understanding the direction of market trends
- Being responsible for generating credit research on companies in the EEMEA region, plus other corporate coverage areas as directed
- You will be responsible for generating thematic research, including analysis of ESG profiles of companies in the region
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant subject area
- Previous experience as corporate research analyst either on sell-side or buy-side with excellent knowledge and understanding of companies and countries in the EEMEA region
- Experience in producing written research, analysis of corporate credit and securities, formation of investment recommendations, relative value analysis and trade ideas
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills required given the high level of interaction with a wide variety of clients
Skills that will help you in the role:
- Experience using Bloomberg to access pricing data and monitor economic trends
- Knowledge of languages of the EEMEA region (e.g. Arabic, French, Turkish, Russian, etc.) will be a plus
