We are looking for a highly motivated person to join our Vulnerable Children Education Team/Virtual School. You would be joining a very supportive team. The role involves promoting good educational progress and attainment for children who are looked after by East Riding of Yorkshire Council.
A key aspect of the role is chairing the Personal Education Plan (PEP) meetings. The successful candidate will need to be able to use their own transport to travel around the East Riding of Yorkshire to attend PEP meetings in schools or chair online meetings using Microsoft Teams. There will be a small number of PEP meetings in schools out of the East Riding area. In addition, they will work with other professionals to deliver training for designated teachers, social workers and foster carers about supporting the education of children looked after (CLA).
We are looking for an organised, resilient person with a friendly personality who can develop positive relationships with school staff, social workers, children looked after(CLA) and foster parents. The successful candidate will need to work with passion and determination to remove barrier to learning for CLA.
