Job description
The Learner Support and Faculty Development team at NHS England North East and Cumbria is responsible to support doctors/dentists in training and clinical supervisors to reach their full potential through excellence in training as reflected in the GMC quality standards. Our key activities include the commissioning and delivery of a range of educational programmes to both senior clinical staff and doctors/dentists in training, to improve the quality of the patient experience in accordance with a range of national objectives and provision of a professional coaching service to doctors/dentists in training.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual with exceptional communication skills at a senior level, a proven record of operational management, able to work effectively within a team with the confidence to influence and make informed decisions. You will have experience of managing an educational function and either substantial experience of delivering educational events or some experience of coaching individuals requiring additional support. You will have demonstrable experience of analysing data, formal report writing and presenting information at a senior level. You will have previous experience of a full range of meeting support including setting agendas, producing notes and action logs and chairing when required.
The post requires someone who has a flexible approach and is willing to work across a range of areas on their own initiative but with support and guidance from the Senior Business Manager as required. You will ideally have extensive knowledge of the NHS but this is not essential.

This role will operate on a flexible working basis with a mixed approach of working from home and from our office in Waterfront 4, Newburn Riverside until further notice, all equipment required will be provided. Travel into our office will be required on at least 2 days per week and ability to travel around the region is expected, on a needs basis.

Salary Progression
Applicants will commence at the bottom of Band 7 with a full-time starting salary of £43,742, with pay step increases after 2 years’ service and 5 years’ service.
These salaries are offered in accordance with NHS Terms and Conditions and the HEE Pay Progression Policy and are subject to annual cost of living review.
Secondments
