Job description
We are looking to recruit a permanent Education Services Officer to work in our Professional Placement team within Education Services.
Professional Placements is part of a wider Education Services department. The department is organised around three thematic areas: Assessment, Student and Curriculum. Colleagues work collaboratively and flexibly to support the needs of the whole department in relation to the demands of the academic calendar.
Whilst this role is based within the Professional Placements team, staff work flexibly across all areas of Education Services.
The Role
- The Professional Placement team manage the allocation process for the mandatory placements for students on Professional accredited programmes within the Faculty of Health and Education and Department of Healthcare Science in the Faculty of Science and Engineering.
- This role is administration based and would be suited to candidates with excellent attention to detail, who work well in a team environment with excellent customer services skills and experience within a Higher Education administration.
Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who:
- Can work flexibly to achieve team objectives by assisting others and working collaboratively to complete tasks and projects.
- Will have the confidence to take responsibility for defined areas of work within Professional Placements.
- Feels comfortable taking ownership of and resolving complex queries.
- Has excellent customer services skills
- Has experience of Higher Education Administration

1.2 Excellent written communication skills with the ability to write and present information across a variety of formats in a clear and accurate manner.
1.3 Ability to plan, organise and prioritise projects and other workloads, to meet specific deadlines.
1.5 Attention to detail with the ability to collate, analyse and evaluate data from multiple sources, and use outcomes to problem-solve.
4.1 Experience of working in a role that requires successful engagement with a diverse rage of stakeholders.
