EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW
We’re looking for a highly engaging Education Officer, to come and join our Communications team on a 12-month basis to cover maternity leave.
You’ll be working across the region to deliver our ‘Wonderful Water’ tour to thousands of school children, helping to improve their lives and the environment both now, and in the future.
Our Wonderful Water tour, and our interactive education buses are available to visit every school in our region and in this role, you’ll be able to give young people the opportunity to learn about using water wisely, what not to put down the toilet, and help to deliver key health, wellbeing, and environmental messages.
Some of your other key accountabilities will include:
- Presenting using several channels such as school assemblies, workshops, digital livestreams, and our education buses
- Helping achieve our wider customer service ambitions through school visits, community group presentations, visitor site days and other educational projects
- Working with the Education Programme Manager to continually evolve and refresh our education offering, whilst also creating your own educational material
- Managing your workload to ensure you hit your targets, maintaining an accurate school database, completing the required monthly reports and tracking and responding to queries / booking requests
- Ensuring we deliver our AMP7 education ODI via our Wonderful Water tour engagement activities, collecting the required number of customer commitments
WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE
You’ll join us with a background of working with young people and demonstrable communications experience, alongside a customer-centric way of thinking and a ‘right first time’ attitude to your work. You’ll have strong presentation skills and will be adept at working in a fast-paced environment.

Due to the nature of this role, it’s essential for you to hold a Full UK Driving License and have both the ability and willingness to travel across our region on a regular basis. You will be based at our Head Office in Coventry, although the majority of work will be based in Birmingham.
