Job description
This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled educator to join Saint Catherine’s as our Education Lead. We are a multidisciplinary workforce with creative ideas and drive, committed to maintaining high standards of care for the people we serve.
The education lead will play a key role in this by:
- Planning and coordinating our education programme to ensure compliance with all Hospice educational requirements
- Delivering some aspects of our clinical education programme
- Supporting both clinical and nonclinical staff to identify and meet their educational needs
- Liaising with our local partners to identify and deliver external training
- Acting as coordinator for student nurse placements within the Hospice
We have ambitions to develop our education strategy further, including growing an income generating education programme.
We are looking for a healthcare professional who has worked within a clinical education or learning role, has the ability to deliver clinical skills training, has a good understanding of clinical governance and is committed to our Hospice values.
Applicants who additionally have experience of service and business development would be welcomed, however we are also committed to working with the right applicant to develop their skills in this area.
This post is full time; consideration will be given to part time or job share applications.
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, permanent position.
Salary: £41,659 pa
