N573 - Education, Health and Care Plan Officer - Role Profile
Plymouth City Council are seeking to employ a suitably experienced EHCP Officer within our 0-25 Statutory Assessment Team. The successful applicant will be part of a team that ensure that Plymouth fulfils its statutory duties for the education of children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.
Key activities for this role include:
- Responsible for writing EHC plans based on an analysis of statutory assessment advice, including school, medical, educational psychology and parental information
- Responsible for other aspect of the SEN Code of Practice including liaison with parents/carers, professionals in education and other agencies
- Ensure that pupils with EHCPs are appropriate placed within mainstream, special schools, EOTAS, home education or independent sector provisions
. Ensure that the statutory review and monitoring of placements are in accordance with the Education Act (1996
You will need to evidence professional experience working with special educational needs and/or disability. You will need to evidence a knowledge of statutory processes for education, health and care planning.
