Are you someone with experience of working with people with disabilities who would like to train to deliver physiotherapy?
Disability charity National Star has an exciting new opportunity for someone keen the explore the world of physiotherapy as an in-residency physiotherapy assistant.
You will work within our outstanding student residences at Ullenwood supporting young adults with disabilities to complete their physiotherapy programmes. The role is dynamic and varied, with you working in education settings, therapy and student accommodation. You will receive training and ongoing mentoring from our experienced physiotherapy team to help you develop your knowledge and understanding to best support the learners. In addition, you will work alongside our care and support staff within our student accommodation and will be expected to roll your sleeves up and help with all areas of student care and support, including personal care and helping students to get ready to attend college in the mornings.
We’re looking for someone with a flexible and adaptable attitude, who is a confident and proactive self-starter. Ideally you will have two years previous experience of working with people with disabilities or one years experience as a Physiotherapy Assistant.
This is full time role working 37 hours a week over 52 weeks of the year. Your work rota will include early morning, day and evening shifts (including some weekends).
