Main Duties:
The Education Consultant is responsible for providing high quality advice and guidance to international students seeking to study in the UK. The Consultant will assist in the selection of both institution and course of study supporting the student with the entire admission process ensuring an outstanding level of service throughout.
Responsibilities
- Provide high quality counselling (via phone, online or face to face) for international students from East Asia region on study opportunities in the UK
- Assist with applications to institutions, obtaining offers and facilitating enrolments
- Follow-up on leads and enquiries to maximise applications
- Provide advice and guidance on the variety of English language tests to support admission
- Liaise with UK universities and other education providers over student admission cases
- Participate in both SI-UK as well as external stakeholder events including Education Fairs, Workshops, University Familiarisation visits, etc.
- Contribute actively to developing both the UK and international markets on behalf of the company
Person Specification
Essential
- Ability to communicate (both written and verbally) confidently through the medium of both English and at least one other language
- Result oriented with the ability to work under pressure to achieve targets
- Self-motivated and ambitious with a passion for selling
- Experience of working in a target driven sales environment
- Ability to work effectively as part of a small, tight-knit high performance-team
- Detail oriented with excellent organisational and analytical skills
- High level of Emotional Intelligence (EQ) to include empathy, self-awareness, social skills and motivation
- Bachelors degree (or higher)
Desirable
- Knowledge of, or experience working or studying within, UK higher education institutions and able to speak another language
- Experience of working with an education agent
