Education Assistant x2
Based at Gibraltar Point National Nature Reserve, near Skegness
Hourly rate of £10.42 (or age relevant national minimum wage)
Do you have a passion for natural history, the environment and education? Do you love teaching but hate all the paperwork? Then this may be the post for you.
We are looking for someone to support our existing education staff in delivering a programme of curriculum linked environmental education activities for schools, colleges and universities.
The posts will provide additional capacity for our education work at our centres across the county and will work on a casual basis as and when required in agreement with the postholders. It would suit someone who is looking to help enthuse the next generation of young people whilst earning a little extra income at the same time.
You need to have some environmental education teaching experience and have a good working knowledge of the wildlife and environmental issues.
You should have an outgoing personality and be comfortable communicating with people of all ages and abilities, be IT literate and have some experience in basic administration.
The post will involve working with children and the successful candidate will be required to undertake a criminal record check.
