Klarents Media is a leading specialist contract publisher of event guides, directories and magazines for exhibitions and associations around the world. We are currently seeking an Editorial & Production Assistant to help us on a full-time basis.
The role will start as soon as possible in March and run for around 6 months-1 year. This is a temporary role to help us through a particularly busy period, but there is the possibility of extension to a longer-term or permanent position, depending on the department workload in the future.
The successful candidate will be providing vital support to the production team. Main duties will include proofreading, chasing in and processing advertising artwork, responding to customer enquiries and processing data. Depending on progression, there may be the opportunity to work on editing and copy layout in InDesign, and to get involved in other areas of publication production, so this is a great opportunity to gain experience of a busy publishing environment.
We are looking for someone who has a keen eye for detail and great communication skills (over telephone and email), who takes the initiative, can hit the ground running and is professional in all areas of their work, as well as being a great team player. The role would suit a graduate with some prior experience in publishing or in an office-based role.
