EDITOR
Are you a skilled editor who loves storytelling? You could be the perfect fit for our exciting, creative studio.
You will be responsible for assembling all picture and audio elements needed to create and maintain the story as it evolves through the various iterations. You will help shape the project from the storyboard phase to the final delivery.
What You Will Do:
- Organize the Adobe Premiere per the project’s requirements.
- Assemble story sequences under the Senior Editor’s supervision.
- Cut sequences throughout the various stages of production and track the various iterations.
- Understand the needs of the Story, Previsualization, Animation, FX, Lighting and Compositing departments.
- Work with Senior Editor, Story Board Artists and Director in a collaborative and team focused way.
- Address notes from Senior Editor and Director in an efficient and organized manner.
- Organize video and audio tracks as per Senior Editor’s direction.
- Deliver assignments per the project’s schedule.
- Adhere to digital file management protocols.
- Track and organize all external assets.
- Adhere to digital file management protocols.
- Meet department deadlines.
- Interact respectfully, professionally, and collaboratively with colleagues, other staff members, partners and clients.

What You Will Bring:
You should ideally have a degree and/or diploma in film school or equivalent plus 2-3+ years of experience working in a professional film/television environment – with some experience editing animated content.
You should have advanced knowledge in using Adobe Premiere, and ideally familiarity with ShotGrid –prior experience using Final Cut, After Effects and/or Photoshop is an asset.
You should have excellent attention to detail, stellar communication skills and outstanding storytelling skills. You should be a skilled collaborator and problem solver, a willing team player and open to feedback.

Pioneering, WSS adapted the musical mobile game My Singing Monsters producing the first of its kind live interactive animated show My Singing Monsters Fandemonium. For HEXBUG, WSS adapted their award winning toyline, JunkBots into a web series and Roblox game. They are currently co-creating a groundbreaking multi-platform digital universe for kids called the Potatoverse led by the animated eco-hero, “Future Chicken” which is set to launch in September 2023.
