Magazine Editor for BRAND NEW title (Part-time)

We have a (proto-edition) 100 page printed magazine in the final stages of development which will be getting sent to a handful of major publishers this year (+ private investors) for ongoing development as a luxury (printed) quarterly magazine.
The magazine is all about modern and NO BS Personal (and Social Development) as well as so it would be beneficial if these subjects are important to you as we are NOT looking for someone just because they have lots of experience, we’re MUCH more interested in finding someone even if with less experience but who wants to make this specific magazine/subject matter a success, something you can put your name to and be TRULY proud of introducing to the public.
Its been fully developed over the last few years with original articles, original photography and no financial backing so that we’re able to offer genuine and utilitarian advice from high end professionals without the pressure from advertising.
MAGAZINE TITLE…
Personal Development 2.o. Our sub heading is Spirituality, Health, Wealth and Culture which is broken down into smaller sections within each issue such as Etiquette, Fitness, Cooking, Exploration of Cultures, Poetry, Fashion, Psychology plus much, much more. Each subject matter leaning towards Personal Development.
As mentioned above this ‘Investor Pack’ edition has been put together by over 20 different high end professionals (see Team Page within website below) with no financial backing behind us, just the collective motivation to bring something original to the market to genuinely help people, not to patronise them with regurgitated and fairly useless (yet nice sounding) articles which is so very ubiquitous nowadays and over the last few decades.
The team includes everyone needed for a mainstream magazine such as section editors, photographers, graphic designers etc.
We have all the articles and complimentary photography completed and have just put it all together as a basic PDF. We now just need one main sub editor to take us over the final hurdle together, someone who also has great sub editing skills to go over it page by page, check for incorrections, decide on any additional content needed and generally make it all one cohesive edition ready for viewing by publishers/Investors.
As we’ve done this as a team (around our own other paying work) with no backing there is no remuneration right now for anyone but if the magazine is taken up then you would of course be offered the ongoing position (with more than standard wages) and anyone who was involved with the magazine (pre investment) will also be given additional shares in the publication as we believe in the Quaker model of business, id est everyone has a stake in its success, especially the people who actually made it happen from root to fruit!
This can be done around your own work for now so time should not be an issue. As we want everyone involved to be able to speak about what we have done together you must be comfortable with Photographs, Video work and conversations on our regular additional podcast.
We’re looking for spelling pedants, so someone with annoyingly high levels of grammar especially welcome. We have also tried to graphically design the issue as if it were a fashion magazine so if you enjoy clear and concise messaging as well as elegant design that’s also a bonus.
