Your role
Radio-Canada Sept-Îles is seeking a Regional Lineup Editor. Reporting to the Manager French services - Côte-Nord , you will distribute and coordinate daily the work of TV, radio and Web reporters and camera operators assigned to regional coverage, while adhering to corporate standards and policies.
We are looking for a candidate with the following:
- Bachelor's degree or the equivalent.
- Five (5) years' journalism experience or the equivalent.
- Extensive general knowledge.
- In-depth knowledge of current events and regional realities.
- Fluent in French.
- Excellent knowledge of the other official language.
- In-depth knowledge of radio and television newsroom logistics.
- Very good knowledge of communication techniques specific to the medium.
- Knowledge of production techniques.
- Knowledge of the Corporation's Journalistic Standards and Practices.
Other:
- Able to plan, organize and coordinate the day-to-day work of TV and radio journalists so as to meet tight deadlines; able to work well under pressure.
- Leadership and self-sufficiency skills is an asset.
- Knowledge of production applications (Dalet, Media Browser, iNews) in use at CBC/Radio-Canada is an asset.
- Valid driver's license.
Selected candidates will be tested as follows:
- Theory test: position-related knowledge.
- French tests.
- Interview.
