Job description
We are currently recruiting for a part-time role in our Edinburgh Bookshop & Cafe
The Faith Mission Bookshops and cafes provide a neutral environment where members of the public can come and enquire about the Christian Faith while sourcing appropriate books and materials, and engage in conversations with our members of staff and fellow customers about the Christian faith.
The Bookshop and Cafe Assistant will work as part of team to continue and build on the good reputation and effective ministry that already takes place in the shop. Our Bookshop performs a vital role as part of the team in delivering excellent customer service. When working in the bookshop the role will involve providing expertise to customers on current Christian titles, Bibles, Multi-Media, Gifts, and other Christian materials to best suit the customer’s Christian context.
A further key part of the position, is talking about what Christian Faith is and what Jesus has done for them when people enquire.
The role is for a permanent part time role of 15hrs/ week (may include Saturdays)

COVID-19 considerations:
All customers are required to wear masks when they enter the bookshop and are required to sanitise their hands with gel provided. Customers are also required to wear gloves provided if they wish to handle our stock.
