Job Summary:
We are seeking an Edibles Gardener to work independently and collaboratively to create and maintain fine edible gardens with year-round interest through gardening, propagation, and harvesting and excellent customer service.
Our ideal candidate is an experienced gardener who has been educated in the field of horticulture; possesses excellent attention to detail, a passion for vegetables and fruits, as well as strong interpersonal skills.
General Duties:
- Growing and harvesting food crops
- Maintaining garden aesthetics to company standards
- Propagating vegetables from seed
- Providing professional & courteous customer service to clientele and their agents
- Planning, ordering, & purchasing seed/vegetable material for year-round interest
- Assist and manage spreadsheets for crop and seed inventory (as needed)
- Assist and manage spreadsheets for crop and seed inventory (as needed)
- Identifying, communicating, and planning horticultural solutions in collaboration with management
- Assist Maintenance and Nursery teams with ornamental gardening tasks or propagation tasks (as needed)
Job Qualifications:
- Education: Degree/Certificate in Landscape Horticulture or related field (preferred).
- Experience: 2 years of horticultural experience with a focus on growing and harvesting food crops.
- Experience with fine aesthetic gardening and seed propagation is preferred.
- A passion for plants and sustainability
- A proactive approach to gardening
- An eye for garden aesthetics
- Proficiency in computer software programs, including Word, Excel, Gmail, iOS. Valid California driver's license with a clean driving record
- Languages: English-Spanish Bilingual (preferred)

Physical Demands:

Compensation:
- Full-time position
- Competitive salary – 58,000 – 65,000 DOE
