Location: This role is based at Quadrant:MK. For roles based in the Quadrant Milton Keynes, you must live within 75 minutes.

About the role (External)
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual who will be able to provide support and maintenance of our systems, users, and data to maintain their accuracy, completeness, and integrity.
What does the average day look like?
In this role you will maintain and update reference data for Capacity Plannings systems to preserve and promote their accuracy, completeness, and integrity. As well as managing the creation, transfer, and validation of data to and between Network Rail and external systems. This includes assisting the implementation of systems development and communicating effectively with customers and stakeholders. You will assist in the provision of user support to users of Capacity Plannings systems and any new systems introduced to the business. You will be investigating faults reported by users registered through the Service now reporting system, applying a priority to each, liaising with the reporter, and tracking that corrective action has been taken.
Day to day you will also monitor performance and availability of Capacity Plannings systems on behalf of business users. You will provide system administration with regards to access security and supporting the efficient integration of Capacity Plannings systems and processes. As well as undertaking continuous improvement activities which provide measurable benefit to the achievement of Capacity Planning's Business Plan. Overall, you will undertake the role in a way that is consistent with Network Rails behaviours.
What essential skills and experiences are required?
- Good analytical skills in a technical or systems related environment
- Educated to A level standard in a numerate subject·
- High level of computer literacy including ability to query and manipulate data
We would also like, but not essential.
- Knowledge and understanding of Capacity Plannings systems
- Knowledge of Railway geography
- Knowledge of database systems
