We are seeking a motivated and flexible individual who will support the development of exciting new economic growth project opportunities across Staffordshire.
This is a new role which will be fundamental in ensuring our £18 billion economy grows and transforms, with a pipeline of development opportunities that exceeds £1 billion.
With an enviable location at the heart of the UK, Staffordshire has a fantastic and highly competitive investment offer which over recent years has attracted high profile businesses such as Jaguar Land Rover and ASOS, includes a strong business base of internationally renowned names such as JCB and Moog aerospace, and is home to world famous centres of brewing and ceramics and a thriving visitor economy.
The role will involve working in partnership with a range of organisations, public and commercial partners at a local, regional and national level to realise Staffordshire’s economic vision.
Main ResponsibilitiesYou will be responsible for the development of business cases for economic development and regeneration projects, with a keen interest in local economic development issues and a track record of accessing relevant project and programme funding.
You will work collaboratively as part of the Business and Enterprise team, providing key support to the wider team including the visitor economy and inward investment functions as well as being involved in the development and delivery of capital projects.
The Ideal CandidateYou will demonstrate good communication skills, the ability to build strong influential relationships with peers and leaders and the ability to engender the confidence of others. You will be required to work flexibly and creatively to tackle challenging and changing priorities working towards the economic vision of Staffordshire.
