The Role/Profile
The Ecommerce Trading Executive is responsible for making improvements to the onsite merchandising and customer experience of Ocado.com and the mobile apps. We want to WOW our customers and make the shopping experience as simple, smart and inspiring as possible.
As part of the Trade Merchandising team, we help customers find their weekly essentials as well as discover their favourite new products from Ocado's vast and exciting range. You will have responsibility for all merchandising levers to drive sales and customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own the shopping and customer experience for your categories by developing an in-depth understanding of customers and their shopping behaviors within them.
- Build strong relationships with Buying & Promotions teams to deliver a seamless customer experience, drive sales and achieve commercial targets.
- Manipulate and interpret analysis and reporting to support the identification of opportunities and implement improvements for your categories on a weekly and seasonal basis.
- Utilise all available merchandising levers to drive conversion through customer friendly and commercially-savvy decisions.
- Relentlessly drive merchandising best practices across the business and focus on creation and delivery of guidelines.
- Work closely with Brand Marketing, Insights, Product and Creative teams to ensure a good experience for your categories across all touchpoints.
- Driving innovation and providing inspiration for customers by creating and building new ways to shop or improve the shopping experience that drives conversion and sales.
- Keeping up to date with customer and market trends as well as our competitors. Evaluate and react to competitors merchandising activities
- Support the Senior Merchandising Manager - Trade Driving and colleagues as and when required.
- Online retail merchandising experience, ideally from Grocery / Homewares / Health & Beauty sectors
- Experience of multitasking and managing deadlines
- Good IT skills – Microsoft Office
