Job description
eCommerce Team Member – Guildford
eCommerce Team member needed for a small but busy online consumer electronics company in the Guildford area. Our main sales platforms include our website, Amazon and eBay marketplaces and we specialise in a wide range of Branded Consumer Electronics.
A dedicated honest and hardworking individual with a positive can-do attitude is needed to join our existing team. Initially the main job responsibilities will be varied and include managing our messaging platforms, managing the customer returns process, assisting with picking and packing of orders, listings where required and helping with stock prep and handling general office duties.
Given the small nature of the team there is the real opportunity and expectation to get first-hand experience of how an eCommerce operation is run and get involved with each of the different functions. As this is the case the job will be very hands on and active and will require an orderly and practical mindset to manage the workload.
Although no specific qualifications are required, as extensive on the job training will be provided, the candidate must be honest and hardworking, willing to learn, possess good problem-solving abilities, have good written and spoken communication skills and have good computer literacy with a good understanding of the Microsoft Office suite.
Previous Customer Service experience, order prepping and fulfilment experience along with experience of online shopping marketplaces (Amazon, eBay and Google shopping) along with an interest and understanding of consumer electronics would also be a great advantage. Most importantly the candidate must have the ability and self-drive to work independently and manage your own workload to develop and contribute within a small hard-working team.
The main job responsibilities include:
· Handling Customer Service enquiries via messaging, email and phone as needed
· Handling customer returns
· Picking and packing of orders
· Assisting with listing content
· Helping with stock prep as and when required
· General office duties
As a Small Business environment there are always plenty of things going on so the above isn’t exhaustive and there is a real opportunity to shape and grow the role for the right person. The vacancy is for a full-time position, although there could be some flexibility on hours, with competitive rate of pay available, for the right candidate.
If you think you would be right for the job, enjoy a challenge and have a positive can-do attitude, please email us a copy of your CV with covering note as to why you think you’re the right candidate and what you would bring to the role.
