Role – Ecologist
Location – Hampshire
Salary - £25 - £30K DOE
We are pleased to be working with an CIEEM Registered Ecological Consultancy who are seeking experienced ecologists to join their team in Hampshire. Established for over 20 years they employ a team of highly experienced ecologists who work on a range of projects across the UK including small to large scale housing, public sector and infrastructure developments. Our regular client list includes local authorities, architects, developers, construction companies and planning consultants.
They are looking for ecologists with the ability to carry out a range of field surveys, including UKHab surveys and protected species surveys, alongside day-to-day office-based work such as project management, report writing and client liaison. This role is offered as full-time and permanent or with part-time or flexible working options available.
ECOLOGIST KEY SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree in ecology or a closely related subject
- CIEEM Membership
- Hold at least one Natural England protected species class licences (or working towards)
- Minimum of two years post-qualification experience in an ecologically focussed role
- Experienced in ecological project management
- Experienced in ecological survey and assessment techniques
- Knowledge of relevant UK and European legislation, policy and guidance
- Be a team player with good verbal and written communications skills
- Good MS Outlook, Word and Excel skills
- A full driving licence
- Right to work in the UK
