Are you an experienced Early Years Practitioner with experience of working in schools as a Teacher or TA?
We are looking for an Early Years and Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship Tutor to join a well established and growing apprenticeship provider in the education sector. Their training team is rapidly expanding and they need more tutors to cover the Birmingham area. You will be responsible for developing and delivering CACHE Childcare and Teaching Assistant Apprenticeships.
This role will be predominantly home-based with travel around this region to meet with your learners. Full time tutors will have a maximum cohort of 40 learners.
We will consider trainee tutors/assessor as long as you have managed a nursery or hold a degree in early years and have worked as a TA/Teacher in a school. You must also be willing to complete the assessor (CAVA) qualification.
Duties:
- Deliver Childcare / Teaching Assistant (Apprenticeship funded) Training up to level 5
- Conduct study group and 1-1 sessions with learners undertaking the qualifications, leading informal discussions and exploration of latest leadership trends and sharing experiences.
- Record professional discussions on specific units / topics based on knowledge, independent research and reflective accounts.
- Visiting/observing learners in their place of work every 4 weeks to gather quality evidence towards their qualifications.
- Using e-portfolio (Onefile) systems effectively to record progress and achievement.
- Managing your diary efficiently to ensure timely visits and reviews are conducted.
- Organise and maintain documentation on learners' progress.
- Support, advise and motivate learners.
- Work to strict completion timescales.

Required education and experience:
- Nursery Manager or Degree in Early Years
- TA/Teaching experience.
- A1, TAQA or equivalent assessing qualification (or willing to undertake).
