Job Title: Early Years Teacher
Bright Horizons Tooting Looking Glass Day Nursery and Preschool
Job Type: (Full Time / 40 hours per week / Mon - Fri)
Salary: £30,581 - £36,963 per annum (dependant on experience)
Location: Tooting Bec

Our Bright Horizons Tooting Looking Glass is Ofsted rated Good, and is situated near the scenic Tooting Bec Common, our Tooting Looking Glass Day Nursery and Preschool in Tooting Bec is conveniently located a 10 minute walk from Tooting Bec Station, and a short drive to Tooting town centre.
What you’ll be doing
- Plan and develop rich learning opportunities and exceptional care, that helps all children to develop, and meets their individual needs
- Make accurate and effective assessments, which reflect the needs, interests, and stages of each child, through supporting the delivery of the key person approach
- Ensure the environment is providing consistent stimulating and inspiring activities for the children, across both the indoor and outdoor areas
- Develop and maintain strong parent/ carer partnerships
- Promote and ensure child welfare, protection, health and safety and safeguarding procedures and policies are followed at all times
- Work with colleagues to maintain a positive, happy and safe environment on a day to day basis

What we’re looking for
- Hold either Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), Early Years Teacher Status (EYTS), Early Years Practitioner Status (EYPS), or a full and relevant Level 6 Early Years Qualification
- Previous experience working within the Early Years sector
- Sound understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage
- Passion for making learning fun and engaging for each child
- Ability to build trust and strong working relationships with both colleagues and parents
- Ability to use a variety of techniques to clearly and successfully communicate with both children and adults
- Strong knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding, Child Protection, and the wider legislative requirements for working with children
