About the role:
I am looking for an experienced & enthusiastic Early Years Practitioner to join an amazing team at a busy Nursery school in BS13, Bristol. You will be working full time, Mon - Friday in the preschool room.
You will be a part of a warm & welcoming, inclusive community within this nursery, the team are extremely supportive of each other. Excellent communication skills are key in this role as you will be working closely with the Room Leader & other staff.
You will be looking after the children's day to day needs such as changing, feeding, administering first aid and engaging the in activities. You will help to provide a range of stimulating & fun activities for the children which will promote learning.
It is your responsibility to be aware of any safeguarding concerns & report back to the Room Leader or Safeguarding lead. It is also part of your role to track the children's progress & report this back to the parents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities, including arts and crafts, outdoor play, and story time.
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress, development, and behaviour.
- Build positive relationships with parents, families, and colleagues.
- Adhere to all nursery policies and procedures, including safeguarding, health and safety, and confidentiality.
- Attend training and professional development sessions as required.
What the Nursery are looking for:
The Nursery School would like to find a committed Practitioner to help provide care for the children in the pre-school room. They would like to find someone who is passionate about providing a high standard of care for the children, and someone who is supportive to the team & families.
Requirements:
- Childcare experience
- Level 2 or Level 3 NVQ Early Years preferrable
- Creative & enthusiastic
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team and using your own initiative.
- Calm, patient & positive-minded
