The Virtual School Rotherham is seeking an Educational Adviser who will advocate for the education of looked after children (Early Years & Primary). The post will support the Virtual School in ensuring that all Rotherham children in care receive a first-class education with high quality outcomes.
Children in care generally do not achieve as well as their peers so you will work alongside schools, foster carers, parents and a range of agencies and professionals to remove barriers to learning to help these children improve their educational outcomes and life chances. You will help schools identify the most effective use of Pupil Premium Plus funds to ensure SMART aspirational targets are met and accelerated progress is made.

From 1st April 2017 to 31st March 2024 employees paid at Band D and above are subject to a temporary pay reduction of 1.15% spread out by means of a weekly / monthly deduction (dependent on pay frequency) from each pay period over the full financial year.
