Job description

Are you a passionate, motivated, and driven medical or life science graduate looking for a new and exciting opportunity within a growing business? If so, we would love to hear from you!

About us

A global leader in technology-led, medical affairs, and value communications, we are a full-service medical communications agency that partners with pharmaceutical, life science and biotech companies around the world to bring new healthcare treatments to market, ultimately making the world a healthier place.

The opportunity

We are looking for medical or life science specialists with a passion for writing to register their interest for a role as an Associate Medical Writer.

This fantastic entry-level opportunity as an Associate Medical Writer is perfect for somebody who wants to move away from research and academia but continue to apply their wealth of scientific knowledge and skills. Working as part of a great team, we will support you in developing the knowledge, skills, and expertise to deliver high-quality scientific content. As an Associate Medical Writer, you will benefit from extensive training and mentoring, all delivered by industry-leading experts, allowing you to reach your full potential.

We support both remote and hybrid working, based at, or affiliated with, one of our UK offices (Horsham, Wilmslow, London, and Glasgow, and we also have a new and growing Oxford hub).

Do you have what we're looking for?

  • A PhD or Master's degree in a biomedical or life science discipline (eg, medicine, veterinary, biological sciences, pharmacology or nursing). We're also interested to hear from individuals who have an MSc in scientific communications or similar
  • A keen eye for detail in all aspects of your work
  • The ability to effectively communicate complex ideas, both orally and in writing, in a range of different formats across various target audiences
  • The ability to manage your own workload across multiple projects
  • Familiarity with the use of online and other data sources
  • Knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite and, ideally, familiarity with referencing and/or graphing software

What's in it for you?

  • A positive company culture with strong values (trust and respect, people first, accountability, team spirit, continuous innovation and improvement, client centricity)
  • Industry-leading professional development and mentorship opportunities
  • An excellent and transparent career development pathway

What happens next?

Once you register your details, we will review your experience and if suitable, place you in our talent pool to be contacted when a relevant position becomes available. The Talent Acquisition team will then reach out to you, to discuss your application and the role in more detail.

Interested in joining our ENVISIONary business? If you have the experience highlighted above, we would love to hear from you!
