Human Resources leads the implementation of the Group’s people strategy in line with business objectives. It facilitates talent management, succession planning and employee mobility while defining and overseeing frameworks that support employee performance management, reward, learning and development, resourcing and engagement.
Within its Early Careers talent segment, HSBC runs its flagship Global Graduate Programme recruiting up to 1500 students annually across 17 markets into Global Businesses and Digital Business Services areas. These roles are located in the Talent Attraction and Recruitment Marketing team, with a dotted line to key stakeholders including the Global Head of Emerging Talent Collectively, the Talent Attraction and Recruitment Marketing, and Emerging Talent teams, work in a high-performing, fast-paced and collaborative partnership to support and deliver HSBC’s flagship global internships and graduate programmes across some 17 markets.
We are currently recruiting for an Early Careers and Talent Attraction Specialist to join this successful team.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Employer brand, talent attraction and recruitment marketing for HSBC’s global internships and graduate programmes, operating across 17 global markets. Exact portfolio is dependent on the region.
- Successful activation and operational excellence of the Global Graduate Propositions’ recruitment marketing strategy and annual attraction campaign at a market, regional level, and where required, at a global level.
- Acting as market and regional representative on the global Talent Attraction and Recruitment Marketing team
- Supporting specific markets and regions who need to attract talent back to their respective markets. (eg. international Asian university students back to Asia).
- Working to continually improve the perception and candidate experience of HSBC as an employer of choice in key markets for students and graduates by identifying new opportunities, improving the bank’s current activities, thinking innovatively and taking strategic risk.
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
- Demonstrable and significant experience gained from working with the Early careers/ Graduate recruitment and early careers segment, including extensive marcomms and brand management knowledge, at an operational level in a both a physical and virtual environment that drives a true international perspective and experience
- Highly successful track record of delivering end-to-end talent attraction and recruitment marketing activities in a busy, complex and matrixed environment is essential - ideally within financial services or a demanding corporate environment where operational HR issues have to be handled on a large scale
- Data driven in decision making, with a strong understanding, use and analysis of data, including the production of meaningful and actionable insights is essential
- Demonstrable experience in vendor management including media and marketing agencies, social media platforms and job boards; as well as internal stakeholders at all levels of seniority and capability is essential
- Strong technical skills and experience with using software (such as MS Office, Monday.com, Sprinklr, CRM, Papirfly, Forage, Avature) and at ease to pick up, understand and use new technology is preferred
This is a hybrid role but we connect regularly in person at 8 Canada Square, London.
