Competitive Pay: £25,500 - £28,500 pro-rata + enhanced payments for unsociable hours

What you'll be doing
An opportunity to really make a difference to people’s lives, while continuing in your own clinical career development. You’ll deliver the Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) service to Bupa clients in need of support with their mental health and wellbeing, through solution focussed approaches and techniques. Every day is different, and each call is unique in supporting large and small companies with their employees’ mental health and wellbeing ranging from supporting those living with physical and mental health needs through to helping to achieve working life resilience and assistance with legal and financial worries.
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
Answering inbound calls in a busy 24/7 contact centre environment and providing therapeutic support to callers on a wide range of presenting issues within a dedicated timeframe
Working independently, and as part of a wider multi-disciplinary team, to utilise your clinical experience to effectively assess and triage callers
Using your clinical judgment and working within your competencies to signpost clients to the most appropriate treatments and resources for further support
Assessing clients’ well-being needs using structured Bupa mental health assessments to make evidence-based therapy recommendations
Using counselling skills to provide in-the-moment emotional support to callers
Using clinical experience to assess and manage risk to clients and others as required
Working in adherence to professional standards and compliance within your regulatory framework to provide the best care to our clients and safeguard as appropriate, making third party referrals as required
Working collaboratively with colleagues and other internal and external departments to provide a smooth customer journey
Completing internal clinical administration tasks
Who we’re looking for?
Recognised Counselling Diploma qualification (Level 4) or higher
BACP/UKCP/ NCS or equivalent Registration is ESSENTIAL - BACP Individual or Student Membership cannot be accepted
Working towards accreditation is preferred
Diverse and varied experience of providing counselling to different clients with a range of presenting issues and experience of working with complex cases
Experience working in similar in-bound telephone counselling services (preferable)
IT proficient
Strong, professional and personal drive
Empathic, compassionate and responsive
Enthusiastic and self-motivated
Ability to respond rapidly and decisively
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Proven experience of customer service
