Executive Assistant to Chief Financial Officer – London (Hybrid) – Attractive salary and benefits package

If so, BT are looking for an Executive Assistant where we’ll empower you, to empower our business units.
This role provides support directly to Consumer’s Chief Financial Officer, to ensure the smooth running of the Consumer Finance office, managing their own time and the priorities of the CFO to maximum effect to allow Consumer Finance to deliver on its purpose.
This role will provide business management and comms support to the CFO and Consumer Finance Leadership, drive engagement plans and own overall communication plans for Consumer Finance
This role also provides PA support to Cost Efficiency & Customer Services Finance Director

What will the role involve as our Executive Assistant?
- Communications / Engagement
- Co-ordinates all people calls/webcasts/events working in partnership with content owners helping to shape the agenda for colleagues
- Co-ordinates engagement and visibility plans including virtual for CFO
- Stakeholder Management & Collaboration
- Uses knowledge to influence key stakeholders
- Navigates relationships openly and honestly leveraging stakeholder relationships, using experience and expertise with ability to implement new ideas and shape the best solutions to problems
- Meeting Preparation
- Works with content owners on creating and producing meeting papers, briefings, and presentations, including Board papers
- Analyses simple data, edits and prepares reports on behalf of the CFO
- Email Management
- Develops processes to manage email workflow, implementing ideas to improve and simplify CFO workstack
- Ensures actionable emails are dealt with daily and open actions are tracked through to completion
- Time Management and Meeting Planning
- Integrate and synchronise personal commitments and actively seeks these out for the full year
- Schedules and leads regular office meetings to plan ahead, review commitments and requirements and implement actions
- Technology
- Develops and contributes to knowledge of new technologies, how they’re used in BT and externally
- Becomes the advocate and stays up to date on digital technology and applications making time for training and seeking out best practice to work smarter
What are we looking for in our Executive Assistant? You may have a variety of the below;
- Relationship building: able to build strong relationships and develop wide networks internally and externally to exert influence on outcomes, get work done through others, without direct authority
- IT proficiency: experience in using excel to drive insight and proficiency on MS office (including powerpoint)
- High level of flexibility to provide business support as and when required. This may also include travel to other UK sites.
- Time management and planning: strong skills in planning, organisation and time management, strong grasp of detail, working to deadlines and be able to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

What you’ll be doing
1. Contributes to establishing relationships with stakeholders and supports the provision of finance business partnering to various areas of the business
2. Supports delivery of financial planning processes for the unit, providing input and insight to inform business partnering activities, and enabling effective business strategy development, decision making and performance management
3. Assists with the implementation of the strategy for the unit by working with the team to provide insights and key reports, aligned to the FP&A strategy for the Group/Business Unit
4. Supports the delivery of end-to-end financials across a transaction cycle/ function
5. Partners with sub-units to provide routine financial insights to inform strategic decision making
6. Builds understanding and impact of financial reporting on performance of the business unit
7. Carries out all business partnering activities in compliance with, local legislative and regulatory requirements
8. Supports the identification and management of risk through regular assessment and diligent execution of controls and mitigations, raising any concerns as appropriate
9. Supports in the implementation of ways to improve working processes within area of responsibility and communicate issues and areas for improvement to business unit/area managers such as through supporting resolution of any data issues impacting productivity or compliance
10. Keeps knowledge up to date on emerging trends and changes in financial reporting principles and practices, sharing with team members
