Scrum Master
The team/department
A new product team is being setup at the FCA in Leeds which will deliver products and product enhancements to our FCA colleagues using the new OmniStudio low code and integration platform of Salesforce. This is part of a major commitment to ensure that the regulator of financial services is equipped with suitable tooling for its vital role. Our users are excited at the prospect of rapid and high-quality delivery and populating this team with suitable capability and expertise is a priority.
What you will be doing (the role)
- Leading Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, sprint reviews, daily scrums, and retrospectives, Optimising backlog and throughput
- Resolving risks, issues, interdependencies and managing external relationships on behalf of the delivery teams
- Creating a harmonious environment, managing conflict quickly and appropriately, creating a trusting and co-operative environment
- Review business, technical and operational requirements and related information to ensure quality inputs to enable effective designs and builds can be tested and implemented
- Estimate and co-ordinate releases with product release management, project managers and business stakeholders aligning to project timescales, release calendars and stakeholder needs
- Continually improve agile and scrum methodology and its implementation to provide high quality and highly efficient delivery
The skills and experience you will have
We are a signatory to the Government’s Disability Confident scheme. Minimum
- Substantial experience as an IT Delivery Manager or IT Project Manager, with 3rd party, on and off-shore developers / project resources
- Experience working with multiple digital products with regular releases and pressure to deliver new functionality
- Certified Scrum Master or willingness to work towards
Essential
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Experience of planning complex agile developments in a form that can be reliably communicated to the wider business, allowing the business to schedule activity with a degree of confidence
- Understanding of metrics of incremental delivery
- Experience and understanding of agile development and continuous improvement
Desirable
- Experience of implementing Agile methodologies business-wide
- Experience as a Scrum Master in an Agile environment

- The salary range in Edinburgh & Leeds is up to £75,000 per annum plus a competitive benefits package, including a non-contributory pension
