E3S Case Author

£50,000-£60,000 plus package

We are now recruiting for the exciting role of E3S Case Author.
This role provides the unique opportunity for you to be at the front of production of integrated E3S case and to play integral part of delivery of GDA. The role involves broad engagement with stakeholders across the business, visibility of the design and the analysis of the SMR. You will be working as a critical team member of the 4 authors, interacting with wider E3S team.

We’re looking for experience and skill in these areas:
Experience as an Environment or Safety Case Author
You will have the knowledge of E3S case structures, ideally, within the nuclear industry. Previous GDA experience would be desirable but is not essential.
Knowledge of UK Civil Nuclear Regulatory Regime
Good understanding of the UK regulations for Safety &/or Environmental permitting regulations. Knowledge & application of ONR Safety Assessment Principles & Technical Assessment Guides, and Environment Agency regulations.
Technical Report Writing
Experience with writing highly technical reports & submitting appropriate governance, such as independent peer reviews, safety &/or environmental committees.
Good communication & Interpersonal skills, representing the project internally & externally.
Interaction with both internal & external stakeholders, to present arguments across different functional disciplines.
Pay and Benefits
We anticipate paying a salary of between £55,000 - £58,000, a performance related bonus of up to 12.5%, an attractive pension scheme with 12% employer and 6% employee contributions. You will also receive a flexible benefits allowance of £2,200, enabling you to create a bespoke package to suit your needs.

Each Rolls-Royce SMR power station will have the capacity to generate 470MW of low carbon energy, equivalent to more than 150 onshore wind turbines and enough to power a million homes. It will provide consistent baseload generation for at least 60 years, helping to support the roll out of renewable generation and overcome intermittency issues

Our Application Process

- Obtaining Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance
- Satisfactory completion of a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check
