There are so many ways that you can lend a hand in our shops. From researching and valuing items, to sorting donations for the best preloved items, helping customers to make a purchase on the till or putting your creative skills to use by creating shop displays - there's something for everyone!

Our shops are a treasure trove filled with quality goods and hidden gems just waiting to be found. With every item sold, we can continue to provide support for the many children and families within our care.

When you volunteer with Demelza you will:

Demelza provides specialist care and emotional support 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, completely free of charge to those who are in need throughout Kent, South East London and East Sussex.

We help with every element of life for children with serious and terminal conditions. We get to know each and every child, young person and family we work with to ensure they receive a care plan as unique as they are.

Demelza could not achieve this high quality service without the volunteers who give their time, energy and dedication. Over 1,000 volunteers give their time across all areas of the charity and we would be incredibly grateful for you to join our team of volunteers.

Together with your support, we will be there to bring joy, fun and relaxation to the lives of every child and family that needs our help.

Job Types: Part-time, Volunteer

Salary: £0.01 per year

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Maidstone, Kent: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

  • customer service: 1 year (preferred)
