Farringdons Jewellery is a third generation family jewellers in London's Hatton Garden, one of the world’s finest jewellery districts. We specialise in fine antique and vintage pieces spanning the last 150 years and pride ourselves on our extensive knowledge of the workmanship and history through the eras.
With the recent expansion of our in house creative department an exciting opportunity has arisen for a photographic assistant to join the team.
Overview of the position:
We are looking for a Photographic assistant to join our small in-house photographic team, working to deliver high quality media for our e-commerce website. You will take direction from the Lead Photographer and will be responsible for a variety of day to day photography and post production duties, being an active part of creating media of all jewellery pieces coming through the studio.
Key responsibilities:
- Photography of all new Jewellery products coming through the studio.
- Use studio lighting to bring Jewellery products to life.
- Post production of all photography using photoshop
- Assisting on model shoots.
- Working with our team to create new and exciting advertising images for the website and other media outlets.
- Day to day upkeep of the studio.
Key requirements:
- Experience within Photography.
- Understanding of Canon cameras and EOS ecosystem.
- Good understanding of the Adobe Creative suite, with emphasis on Photoshop.
- Experience with using studio lighting.
- Proficient with Mac operating systems.
- Have a passion and interest in jewellery.
- Be ambitious, self-driven and can work within a team or independently.
- Be able to provide a supporting portfolio or website demonstrating relevant work.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: £20,000.00-£25,000.00 per year
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
Supplemental pay types:
- Yearly bonus
