Role title: E-COMMERCE & CUSTOMER SERVICE ASSISTANT
We are looking for a motivated individual to join our small team and fast-growing company as an E-Commerce & Customer Service Assistant, at our main office & warehouse in Grays Essex on a full time basis.
Your time will be spent assisting the Thrifted E-commerce processes; preparing vintage clothing for online sale - primarily: uploading products & item photography.
We are also looking for someone to work in our customer service role - assisting customers with email & phone queries, processing returns and helping the packing team solve issues.
As a relatively small team it is important our team members can add additional responsibilities and roles as they grow with us. As the company grows our team can grow into more senior roles.

Working hours:
Monday – 8 30am - 4 30pm
Tuesday – 8 30am - 4 30pm
Wednesday – 8 30am - 4 30pm
Thursday- 8 30am - 4 30pm
Friday - 8 30am - 4 30pm
- With 40 minute paid lunch break each day
Job Type: Full Time - Permanent
Main Roles:
1. Product Uploading
- Uploading of vintage clothing products to the Thrifted website; utilising our upload system. This role includes inputting data for products - with item specifics such as brand, era and colour. Knowledge of excel is helpful for this. Knowledge of vintage is ideal, although not essential.
2. Product photography
- Product photography is at the core of what we do and is done daily - with morning and afternoon sessions. The E-commerce Assistant will be responsible for their own sessions each week (shooting most days) - styling, shooting and managing the photography process in that session.
- Product photography work is done using our flat lay photography systems - (cutting edge e-commerce photography equipment). You will be trained on how to use these.
3. Stock Management
- Sorting stock - unpacking the latest deliveries. (the best job in the warehouse! As you get first look in on all the best vintage!)
- Labelling uploaded stock.
- Categorising clothing based on grade, style and more.
4. Customer Service Assistant
We are also looking for a member of staff that is comfortable managing our customer service lines - specifically email and telephone.
Including:
- Responding to customer email queries each morning, organising return postage, processing returns and answering the office phone.
Pay: £10.90 per hour ; 40 hour week.
(Pay above is the starting base, to be reviewed on an ongoing basis and increases available based on suitability for the role and/or increases in responsibility)

Requirements:
- Numeracy and literacy skills
- Computer skills - specifically proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

- Ability to prioritise own workload
Not essential, but helpful:
- Full UK driving licence
- Camera / Photography skills
Expectation:
- Be punctual, organised and motivated.
- Be able to work at our warehouse location in Essex - Monday to Friday each week.
- Undertake tasks efficiently and at best ability.
- Keep the office / rooms tidy.
- As a start up business, roles asked to complete may be varied and employee is expected to undertake these as they would other tasks.
