Smith’s Wood became an academy in April 2017 when it joined Fairfax Multi-Academy Trust, a family of four secondary schools in Birmingham and Solihull. The DT & Food Technician will ensure teaching staff have the equipment and resources they need to provide excellent opportunities for students to learn in line with budgetary constraints. To provide effective and efficient technical assistance to teaching staff and students within the relevant department.

The post holder will work under the guidance of teaching and senior staff to secure good outcomes for all students. In addition, the post holder will actively promote the academy’s values and assist teaching staff in narrowing the gap between disadvantaged and other children.

We are proud of the work that we have done to improve the quality of the curriculum and how it is delivered.
