National Express have a fantastic opportunity to join our Training Team as a Driver Training Instructor, based in Walsall. Working a 48 hour week, any 5 days from 7 across our garages, you will support new and existing drivers’ development through delivery of courses and other training support.

As a Driver Training Instructor, you will be responsible for effectively delivering all aspects of the licence acquisition and skills training within National Express. You will also ensure all standards of delivery and legislation are adhered to.


What you'll do:

  • Deliver PCV licence acquisition training, core skills, development / refresher and CPC training to a high standard
  • Coach, mentor and develop your trainees and adapt your delivery to their requirements whilst following a set training programme
  • Keep accurate records of all the training you deliver and provide daily feedback to your trainees
  • Work to embed the company’s policies and procedures

What you’ll need:

  • Hold a valid PCV licence with at least three recent years' PCV driving experience
  • Display evidence of self-development
  • Able to display strong coaching, communicating and presenting skills
