Job description
New Directions Education are extremely busy and we have noticed an increased demand for full time and part time Classroom Assistant to support a cluster primary schools within the Ammanford area.
The hours available are usually mornings or afternoons only, between 1- 5 days per week. The work available can be flexible around your own time and you are able to manage your own diary dependent on your availability. You are also able to state areas that you are willing to travel too, and preferred age groups to work with.
No specific qualifications are required. We have some free training courses with you can be enrolled on. A positive attitude and keen willingness to learn is all we ask.
This type of position is ideal for someone who wants part time hours, or someone who wants to work around children’s school hours.
Main responsibilities will include supporting pupils in general classroom settings, 1:1 support work external from the classroom, monitoring behavior and working in conjunction with classroom teacher and assisting with literacy and numeracy sessions. You will also be involved in setting up equipment, preparing materials for lessons and the recording of pupils achievements and progress.
