Are you an experienced Driver Trainer looking to take your next step? Or maybe you’re an experienced Driver or work in Transport, who wants to progress?
We are looking for a full-time, permanent, Driver Trainer to join us at our Waitrose contract based in Brinklow, Milton Keynes. Working as part of a solid, established transport training function, you’ll carry out all training activity for our large fleet of Class 1 Drivers, both in the classroom and out on the road.
You’ll be working a rotation of Monday to Friday or Tuesday to Saturday, 8 till 5.30pm (48 hour week), however, this is a 24/7 very busy operation and flexibility to cover later hours is a must, this is logistics after all!

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £47,116.00 per annum (inclusive of shift premiums). In addition, we offer 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days. What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Be involved in all aspects of driver training including classroom based training and practical based training out on the roads
- Induct and train newly recruited drivers in line with company procedures and processes
- Make sure all health and safety regulations are adhered to at all times
- Ensure that all training records and related paperwork is kept accurate and up to date
What you need to succeed at GXO:
- Previous experience as an in-house Driver Trainer or Assessor (DCPC Trainer)
- Clean HGV License, C+E entitlement, digital tachograph and valid CPC
- An excellent understanding of health and safety policies and procedures with either IOSH or NEBOSH
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
