Bread Bread Bakery located in SE24. Weekend only.
We are an Artisan Bakery located in South East London, founded in 2010 our products are made to the highest quality using the best ingredients. Whilst we are a small bakery we make a large range of breads, pastries and sweet treats. Our plans for the future are big and we have an excellent team working to help us achieve this.
In order to achieve these plans we are looking for another driver to join our team, you will be working 18 hours per week across 2 shifts. There will be an opportunity for paid overtime. You will be responsible for delivering bread, pastries and cakes to the farmers markets around London. Some packing duties may be required.
Driver duties and responsibilities:
- To be aware of the logical route of all deliveries, following a plan delivery route, taking into account required delivery times and minimising mileage.
- To check, load items, security and all necessary equipment, Paperwork and fuel cards are on board prior to leaving the depot for the day’s journey.
- To check the vehicle conditions before and after the shift and to take action as required before departure completing the driver list mileages.
- To unload goods at the farmers markets safely, efficiently and always in a considerate and polite fashion taking into account the care and attention for the general public at all times.
- To be aware of the legal load capacity of the vehicle to be driven.
- To be aware of and how to follow the company procedure for the vehicle breakdowns.
You will also be responsible for and measured by the following criteria:
Being aware of and completing as necessary all company required documentation.
On return, clearing all empties off the vehicle, removing all personal possessions and rubbish (cans/bottles etc) from vehicle cabs and cleaning out the van after deliveries.
Making management aware of all vehicle defects and maintenance requirements as soon as possible via drivers daily check sheet.Ensuring the vehicle is returned with a full tank of fuel.
Helping to keep our delivery fleet clean and in good working order at all times.
- Assisting Bakery when required with the packaging.
- Pack bread, pastries and cakes according to order sheet, including delivery notes and invoices where applicable.
Team Member Requirements:
· Hold a Full UK Driving License (No more than 3 points)
. Over thirty for insurance purposes
. Excellent route knowledge of central London (desirable but not essential)
· Are enthusiastic, reliable and great team players
· Can read, write and speak English
· Are able to work to tight deadlines
· Can carry out physical work
