About You:

You will be part of the busy Employment and Logistics team undertaking multi-million-pound projects throughout our estates across the city. Your duties will include.

  • Assisting Qualified tradesmen on various projects across the city
  • Transporting, loading, and unloading plant and materials
  • Manual Handling, accessing scaffolding,
  • Loading and unloading waste at our central hub and segregating into relevant waste streams
  • Keeping jobs clean and van and tidy.

Experience and knowledge in this field is a must.

You will need a full driving licence to drive our vehicles and will also be required to undergo a DBS check as part of the pre-employment checks.

As the work is varied a flexible approach is required to meet changing needs and tight deadlines. Excellent customer service skills, enthusiasm, and a ‘can do’ attitude is all essential as you’ll be our ambassador when you visit our customers’ homes to carry out repairs and installations to the highest of standards You will liaise with residents, peers and colleagues on a daily basis so communication and customer focus will be essential to the role. Organisational, customer service, time management and physical skills are key to this role.

You will work 37-hour week plus an additional 2-hour TOIL (Time Off in Lieu). The TOIL equates to 12 days annual leave year, in addition to your basic entitlement of 25 days annual leave per year (not including bank holidays). This leave increases to 29 days after you have completed 5 years of continuous service. Other employee benefits range from childcare vouchers and discounted travel to money off at selected restaurants, shops, and salons.
