Job description
We are seeking a Driver/General Operative to join our team.
Tasks
Make deliveries and collections in company 3.5 ton flat bed truck (Typically 40% of time but varies day to day).
General Housekeeping, Sweeping up around factory and yard.
Loading and unloading parts on the production line.
Using a pressure washer to wash down parts.
Shotblasting parts.
Masking parts prior to production.
Packing painted parts.
Keeping vehicle clean.
Completing driver’s timesheet, checking parts against collection and delivery notes.
Essential
Cat B driving Licence.
Over 25 for insurance.
Numerate and literate.
Good timekeeping and attendance record.
Lives an economic travelling distance from Newton Aycliffe.
Desirable
Driving a long bed transit size vehicle with strap and ratchet/load restraint experience.
Licensed and experienced Fork lift truck driver (Counterbalance).
At least 2 years continuous employment with same employer in similar job.
Working Hours
Monday - Thursday 8am - 5pm
Friday 8am - 1pm
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: £11.65 per hour
