Position:
Role Summary
A customer facing role, collection and delivery to pre-determined locations in accordance with customer and company procedures, service levels and Protocols. To collect and deliver customers consignments safely, securely, and punctually, and ensure that all paperwork is completed daily to a high degree of accuracy.
Duties & Responsibilities
Drive the company vehicle responsibly and safely; obeying the traffic laws and highway code at all times
Carry out daily and weekly vehicle checks for all fleet vehicles ensuring any defects found are reported promptly to the Logistics Manager
Arrange and liaise garage/service appointments
Daily housekeeping of van and fleet cars
Keep an accurate record of deliveries and collections using consignment notes and job sheets, in line with company policies
Assist the CSD department with various administrative support tasks on an ad hoc basis
Assist with the archiving development and movement of case files in a secure manner
Heavy lifting required on an ad hoc basis
Ensure equipment on the vehicle is secured and protected where necessary
Ensure keys, ID cards and mobile phones are kept secure and protected
Demonstrate exceptional customer service skills in all aspects of the working day
Represent the company and values of the business and portray a professional and business- like image to all customers, potential customers and other people you meet in the course of your work
Flexibility of hours required
To support staff training/mentoring for new starters
To support other general administration and ad hoc tasks as required
Requirements:
Skills & Competencies
- Exceptional customer service
- Driving experience in a fast-paced environment
- Understanding of safe loading process
- Understanding of the transporting of hazardous goods
- Manual handling awareness

Qualifications
- A clean driving licence
- Successful security clearance will be required prior to employment commencing
Experience
A minimum of 1-year experience in related working environment is essential

Terms & Conditions
- Salary £20,050 per annum
- Hours – 37 per week
- Holidays – 25 days per annum plus statutory holidays (pro rated)
