Godolphin is the world’s largest thoroughbred operation, comprising breeding and racing interests spanning 6 countries, across 4 different continents. Founded in Dubai in 1992, the operation has been built on a foundation of innovation and uninhibited achievement that has led to a legacy of success for horses in Godolphin’s famous blue silks. Its global headquarters is in Newmarket, which is the epicentre of the UK’s thoroughbred industry.
A vacancy has arisen for a Driver within the Transport Department, to be available to work in the UK. The primary duties include but are not limited to:
- Work as part of the Transport team and undertake duties as directed by the Head of Transport and Travel, Transport Manager or Supervisor.
- Chauffeuring Godolphin Trainers, Jockeys and associated personnel to races meetings, business activities, airport transfers etc
- ‘Couriering’ of documents to internal and external departments
- Daily and weekly vehicle checking, valeting, cleaning and routine maintenance of Company vehicles
- PHEV & EV Charging
- Vehicle delivery and collections to car and commercial main dealers
- Medical transfers
- Adhering to both statutory requirements and company health and safety policies and procedures at all times, including the Highway Code and working hours.
- Working hours/schedule: 45 hours per week, across 5.5 days. Some bank holiday working will be required (with notice), and a day off in lieu offered in return
- 45 hour per week
The ideal candidate will be self-motivated with a hardworking and diligent attitude to their daily tasks; taking great pride in your work. To be successful in this position, the minimum requirements are:
- A full and valid UK driving licence
- Good written and spoken English skills
- Ability to use own initiative
