I. Job Summary
The Driver Hiker will be responsible for the duties involving the accurate delivery and pickup of WM trucks at various locations within an Area. This role will be working to support the Fleet Maintenance team and their trucks.
II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned.
- Follow appropriate safety procedures while driving trucks to required destinations
- Comply with company / state / federal regulations
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Maintain complete and accurate documentation to support all trip activity
- Ensure complete and accurate pick up or delivery
- Adding fuel to vehicles following all safety procedures
- Report all accidents / injuries to supervisor
- Report all unsafe conditions to supervisor
- Communicate all breakdowns or potential late deliveries to supervisor

IV. Qualifications
The requirements listed below are representative of the qualifications necessary to perform the job.
A. Education and Experience
- Education: None required
- Experience: Minimum of one (1) year of experience operating a vehicle requiring a CDL or equivalent military driving within the last seven (7) years
B. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Other Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Legally eligible to work in the United States
- Hold a current Class B Commercial Drivers License with an air-brake endorsement
- A clean DMV motor vehicle record required
- Ability to work independently, customer service skills, organizational skills, and a positive attitude are required.
- Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required
- Successfully pass a background, drug test, and Motor Vehicle Report.

The hourly rate for this position is $ 24.86 The specific hourly rate offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s relevant experience, education, training, certifications, qualifications, and work location.
